Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Kuleba met with a delegation of deputies of the National Assembly of France - members of the France-Ukraine interparliamentary friendship group led by Benjamin Haddad.
During the meeting, Kuleba thanked France for military, humanitarian and financial support for Ukraine in the conditions of the full-scale war. He also noted joint achievements in the development of interregional cooperation.
"The whole of Ukraine feels the constant support of the French people. This is very important and invaluable at a time when our state is defending itself every day against the insidious and powerful enemy – the Russian Federation. We are grateful for the shelter that our friendly country has provided to our people. It is also important that we are developing our cooperation with France. I am grateful for the initiated relationships and assistance provided by the regions of Île-de-France and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions to Kyiv, Chernihiv and Odesa regions," the deputy head of the Office of the President said.
For their part, the members of the French delegation emphasized the support for Ukraine on the way to joining the EU and expressed their admiration for the resilience and courage of Ukrainians.
"It is an honor for us to be in Kyiv right now. We are a delegation from six different parties, and we are united in our support for Ukraine. In the French parliament, it is very difficult to find unity on any issue, but the issue of Ukraine and resolutions in support of Ukraine unite us. We will stand with you until your victory," Head of the France-Ukraine friendship group Benjamin Haddad said.
Kuleba called on French parliamentarians to adopt a resolution recognizing the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism.
