Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleksiy Kuleba met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in the regions of our country, in particular in the social and infrastructure sectors, medical and psychological rehabilitation for Ukrainian children affected by Russia's invasion, and assistance in the energy sector.
Oleksiy Kuleba thanked the Azerbaijani Ambassador for the continued support for Ukraine.
"In the context of a full-scale war, it is very valuable for us to cooperate. Azerbaijan's support manifested in concrete actions and projects is extremely important to us. An example is the restoration of educational institutions in Kyiv region by the partner country," emphasized Oleksiy Kuleba.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office also noted that the reconstruction of housing and social infrastructure is one of the most urgent and important issues for our country.
For his part, the Azerbaijani Ambassador expressed hope for the restoration and development of trade and economic relations and emphasized interregional cooperation between the countries, as well as support for Ukraine during the autumn and winter period.
"We have already announced the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the purchase of energy equipment before the heating season. We have also implemented a program for recreation and rehabilitation of children of servicemen in our country," said Seymur Mardaliyev.
The interlocutors noted the constructive dialogue between Ukraine and Azerbaijan and agreed to continue to coordinate joint actions.
Oleksiy Kuleba invited the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to participate in the meeting of the Presidium of Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.
