In Paris, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Ministry of Armed Forces of France.
The Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sébastien Lecornu, presented to the Head of State the products of the companies of the French defense and industrial complex, which are planned to be supplied to Ukraine.
The President also spoke with representatives of the French defense and industrial complex. They discussed Ukraine's defense needs and the increase in the production of SPH Caesar, artillery shells, including long-range ones, electronic warfare and armored vehicles. The Head of State emphasized the importance of expanding joint arms production on the territory of our country.
"Thank you for supplying Caesar. This is a very good 155-caliber artillery. From the very beginning of the war, we have been using various 155-caliber artillery systems. The quality was important. I would like to thank you for one of the highest quality systems we have ever had — the Caesar,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Representatives of Ukrainian and French companies signed a license agreement to create ammunition production capacities under the KNDS France/Nexter license. They also signed statements of intent to establish a service and repair hub for KNDS France/Nexter equipment in Ukraine, as well as to manufacture the company's components using 3D printing.
