President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Caspar Veldkamp, who is visiting Ukraine.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the support of Ukraine and continuous assistance to Ukrainian warriors from the Netherlands.
“We are grateful for your air defense systems, first and foremost. I believe you can see how much they truly help Ukrainians, especially the Patriot systems and others. This is extremely important. Thank you for the latest package,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and Dutch defense companies, outlining promising areas for future collaboration. Achieving a just peace for Ukraine and all of Europe requires, above all, a strong position of our state on the battlefield. This is the only way to exert pressure on Russia and force it into peace.
The Dutch Foreign Minister emphasized that Ukraine and the Netherlands share a common goal: peace, security, and stability in Europe. He assured that the Netherlands’ commitment to supporting Ukraine remains steadfast.
“We believe in the principle of ‘peace through strength,’ and Ukraine must be at the negotiating table in the strongest possible position. The Netherlands will remain a reliable partner for Ukraine,” Caspar Veldkamp stressed.
He added that the Netherlands not only provides political and military support but also assists in rebuilding Ukraine’s energy sector. Furthermore, within the EU, the Netherlands continues to work on a new sanctions package aimed at halting Russia’s shadow fleet activities.
