On the sidelines of the 4th European Political Community Summit in the United Kingdom, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez.
The President thanked the Spanish government for its unwavering support of Ukraine and recent decisions to provide defense assistance to our country.
The leaders discussed the timeline for the delivery of weapons and further defense support, both on a bilateral level and in cooperation with partner countries.
Special attention was given to the implementation of decisions of the first Peace Summit. President Zelenskyy spoke about the planned thematic conferences on the points of the Peace Formula concerning food and nuclear security, as well as the release of all prisoners and deported Ukrainians.
The President also informed about the beginning of the screening process for Ukrainian legislation to ensure its compliance with European standards and emphasized the importance of accelerating the next stages of negotiations for Ukraine's accession to the EU.
