Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Independence, Territorial Integrity and Sovereignty of Ukraine Were Recognized by All Participants of the Peace Summit

The gathering of representatives of so many reputable countries, organizations and religious leaders at the Global Peace Summit shows that everyone needs peace. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference following the Summit in Switzerland.

"Independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty were recognized by absolutely all participants of the Summit. The majority of the world. This provides powerful support for Ukraine. This is one of the successes of this Summit," the Head of State emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that there are two ways to force Russia into peace. The first is diplomatic, the second is a strong defense and a powerful army.

"The biggest success for us is, of course, the end of the war. It is not a success, it is the only possibility of existence in this world, the only fair possibility of life. And we will do everything to end the war. Today is only the first step, but it is a powerful one," the President emphasized.

He noted that further diplomatic work will continue at the level of national security advisors. They will develop a step-by-step plan on the three points contained in the Joint Communiqué on a Peace Framework: food security, nuclear and energy security, and the release of all captured and deported Ukrainians.

"Of course, we are part of Europe both geographically and mentally. But it is very important that all these meetings take place on different continents, in the territories of countries that may not share borders with us, but which definitely share the same values. And this is very important. That is why we will have these meetings in Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. This is what we are focusing our efforts on now. After that, there will be a plan – a joint plan," Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarized.
