Allowances for March are already being paid to health workers for treating patients with coronavirus. This process is planned to be completed in the near future. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a traditional meeting with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the main government agencies responsible for measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Head of State instructed to control allowances of up to 300% for April, which are carried out according to the new financial formula. To do this, all relevant hospitals must enter into agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine.
"Make sure hospitals conclude these deals. Let's complete these payments as soon as possible. Our doctors deserved it," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President was also informed that the Chernivtsi region and the city of Kyiv remain among the leaders in the newly discovered cases of infection. Over the past 24 hours, the number of those who recovered in Ukraine as a whole exceeded the number of laboratory-confirmed new cases - 427 and 422, respectively. The mortality rate remains low - 2.7%.
The issue of opening non-food markets was also raised.
"If non-food stores are open, then markets need to be opened, too. On the same terms as food markets: with all safety measures for people to minimize the risk of infection," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
