We should not be in a hurry with the extension of quarantine for more than a month, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a traditional conference call with representatives of the government and law enforcement agencies, which took place under his chairmanship.
"We should not be in a hurry with the extension of quarantine for a long period of time, we should act according to the situation. Everyone is tired of this quarantine already. We need a clear framework regarding its continuation, so that people have the opportunity to live safely, so that business can function, so that the economy does not stand still. Therefore, at first we extend for a month, not longer,” the Head of State said.
In response, Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov said that a resolution had already been developed with changes as regards the existence of quarantine in Ukraine as a whole. According to the document, the regions will be divided into four zones - "green", "yellow", "orange" and "red", where there will be clear criteria for restrictions. Restrictive measures will be imposed depending on the situation in a particular inhabited locality of the region.
