President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal for the appointment of Denys Shmygal to the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine.
“During these years, we have had a lot of governments - the technocrats’ government, the embezzlers’ government, the experienced managers’ government, the government of the rescue of the experienced managers, and so on. I believe that we will finally have a government for the people,” the Head of State said at an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada.
“The previous government did its best, but today Ukrainians need a government that will do the impossible. I hope that the next Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will do so,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the proposal of the Head of State - 291 people's deputies voted for the appointment of Denys Shmygal.
