In Washington, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, during which they signed a bilateral security agreement.
The Head of State thanked Luxembourg for its defense assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
The President informed the interlocutor of the extensive consequences of Russian missile terror against Ukrainians and the critical infrastructure of our country. The leaders discussed the possibility of cooperation for the reconstruction of "Okhmatdyt" and the temporary treatment of the hospital's patients in Luxembourg.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke about preparations for the first meeting following the Peace Summit on the Peace Formula's energy security clause.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to engaging regional leaders from the Global South in restoring a just peace in Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg also discussed the priorities of our country during the screening of Ukrainian legislation's compliance with the EU acquis, which began after the de facto opening of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
