In Warsaw, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the Ukrainian community, including volunteers, medical professionals, educators, civil activists, and members of religious organizations.
The Head of State provided detailed information about his visit to Poland, particularly about the signing of the bilateral security agreement.
"The agreement between Ukraine and Poland is right, strong, and, I believe, historic. Some provisions are new and unprecedented. Mechanisms still need to be developed, but it all signifies further rapprochement – even closer ties between neighbors," he noted.
The President thanked the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Poland for all their efforts in helping Ukraine.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported Ukraine, this unity between Ukraine and Poland, our military, civilians, and refugees since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. These are all very important things," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Representatives of the Ukrainian community told Volodymyr Zelenskyy how they support their fellow countrymen, including through the creation of volunteer networks and assistance to soldiers and their families.
Halyna Andrushkov, co-founder of the Uniters Foundation, mentioned that they have gathered a group of European and Ukrainian experts, engineers, and managers who design and manufacture drones for Ukraine. She called for simplifying the procedure for transferring drones across the border. The Head of State instructed the Minister of Defense to address this issue.
Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Andrzej Szeptycki reported that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Poland has accepted about 600 Ukrainian scientists and provided them with jobs at universities. Together with their Polish colleagues, they are developing scientific projects. He is convinced that this will contribute to the development of Ukrainian science and the reconstruction of our country.
