Our country will be successful when every region is successful - President

The coalition of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation still has a lot of work to do, and its scope is reflected in the election programs of the Head of State and the Servant of the People party, as stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Speaking at the congress of the Servant of the People party, the President noted that despite fulfilling some of the promises over the past year, the rest should be fulfilled as well.

"We will do it, I am confident of you. This includes tax reform, capital amnesty, judicial and law enforcement reforms, high-quality medicine at last, high-quality education, high-quality life,” the President said.

Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that one of the important points of the program to be implemented is to ensure the right of Ukrainians to democracy through a referendum. The first law needed for this is ready and will be considered by the Ukrainian Parliament in the near future.

"For the first time in the history of the country, your opinion will be asked. Not on Facebook, but at the national level. And it is you who will shape the agenda on key issues, decide what is good and what is bad, what the country needs or doesn’t need. And together, like our ancestors centuries ago, we will jointly solve all important and very difficult tasks," the President of Ukraine said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is facing crucial local elections, which will take place on October 25. And the presentations of development strategies of each region are taking place these weeks in the regions.

"We know for sure that our country can be successful only if every region is successful. At the center of this story is a man. It is you: a Kyivan, a Galician, an Odesa resident, a Luhansk resident or a resident of Zakarpattia - it doesn't matter. It is up to you to lead your native land to prosperity,” the Head of State said.

The President also stressed that Ukraine is our common home, where everyone wants to have prosperity, welfare and peace.

"Ukraine is not ministers or deputies, not heads of regional state administrations, not mayors, not agents of other states, not grant-eaters, not radicals, not experts on social networks who "know" everything: how it is done and how it should be done. Ukraine is you. And let's keep that in mind. Not just on October 25, but every day," the Head of State stressed.
