In the Zaporizhzhia region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with battalion and company commanders of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 128th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The discussion focused on the overall situation at the front, existing challenges, and ways to address them.
One key topic was the training of mobilized soldiers. The Head of State noted that he expects changes in training centers. In addition, it is necessary to provide an opportunity for soldiers to undergo basic general military training under the guidance of brigade instructors and commanders with whom they will directly carry out combat missions.
Significant attention was also devoted to ensuring the supply of drones and their operational use. Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense to address the urgent needs of the units and to continue meeting these requirements on a monthly basis. The development of systems to counter enemy reconnaissance drones was also discussed. Successful results have already been achieved, and it was agreed to scale these solutions to other military units.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, will maintain constant communication with the commanders to ensure maximum results in the issues agreed upon during the meeting.
