During a working trip to Zakarpattia region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a coordination meeting on the economic, social and security situation in the region.
Viktor Mykyta, Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, informed the participants about the socio-economic situation in the region, regional development projects and meeting the needs of internally displaced persons.
Viktor Mykyta also reported on the relocation of state and private enterprises to Zakarpattia.
The Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration presented the Head of State with a symbolic first batch of salt extracted from the Tereblia deposit in the region.
Uzhhorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv spoke about ensuring the life of the regional center under martial law.
The participants of the meeting heard a report from Oleksandr Semyrha, Head of the Zakarpattia Customs, on the work of the customs authorities in the region.
Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deyneko reported on the protection of the state border within the Zakarpattia region.
The participants also discussed the criminogenic and operational situation in Zakarpattia.
