During a working trip to the Rivne region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of "For the Welfare of Life "Berehynia" public organization. The parties discussed the benefits of establishing more centers to support people in difficult life circumstances and victims of domestic violence.
According to the organization's representatives, such centers should employ specialists in all necessary fields, which are not always available in social services. These include psychologists, lawyers, community or family counselors, correctional specialists and social educators. Involving the community in solving such problems will break down psychological barriers between staff and visitors.
“We designed the development of various master classes and training sessions there, which will help such women improve their psycho-emotional state. It is very important. In addition, we designed a room of temporary stay there," representatives of the public organization said.
In addition, such centers will become communicators between the government, the police and the community.
The Head of State stressed the inadmissibility of domestic violence on any grounds. According to him, the state should make efforts to reduce the number of such cases.
"There must be an understanding in society that domestic violence is impossible, it is savagery. But if there is an unfortunate situation in the family, a person should know that he or she will be assisted," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
