In 11 days, a new chapter will begin for Europe and the entire world – a time when we have to cooperate even more, rely on one another even more, and achieve even greater results together. This was the message from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format, attended by representatives from 49 partner countries.
The President emphasized that Ukraine aims to set a record this year in both the quantity and quality of drones it manufactures and receives from partners. As these are the weapons that have already changed the nature of the war.
“Ukrainians have the most experience in Europe with using drones, and we also have the biggest capacity in Europe to produce drones. So, first, please invest more in this Ukrainian strength, because after the war it will also be your strength. Second, invest in the talented people in your countries who can help make all of us stronger in the drone field,” the President noted.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also called on partners to fulfill all agreements regarding the delivery of aid packages to the front and the air defense systems promised at the last NATO summit.
“You’ve seen what happened yesterday in our city of Zaporizhzhia – Russia’s bombs killed 13 people, 112 were injured. That was just one day, just one attack, one strike from the air. We must stop Russia’s terror. And you can do it,” he emphasized,
The President pointed out that Ukraine already has bilateral security cooperation with most countries represented at Ramstein, secured through 27 agreements, and invited others to join these efforts.
Additionally, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partners, particularly the United States and the European Union, to increase sanctions on Russia’s energy sector and put an end to its shadow fleet operations.
“Russia’s war budget for 2025 is 25% bigger than last year’s. If we want to stop the killing, we’ve got to cut off Putin’s cash flow. Putin will start thinking about peace only when his inner circle tells him he’s out of money,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
