Volodymyr Zelenskyy observed the implementation of the New Village pilot project in the Luhansk region

During a working trip to the Luhansk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy observed the implementation of the New Village pilot project in the Shul'hynka territorial community.

The project aims to make public services available to residents of each community.

"Today we see the beginning of a major and important reform for Ukraine. A year ago we traveled through Ukraine, saw the condition of our villages and settlements and what is missing there. It's easier to say what is available there - it can be counted on the fingers. But for life, for the realization of aspirations, for spending time and feeling in the village like in the capital or any city of our state - there is nothing. That is why the pilot project is implemented - the beginning of the reform of the Ukrainian countryside," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The Head of State noted that this project will allow locals to receive about a hundred different services, including passports and pensions, and this should make their lives more comfortable and happier.

"I am glad that people are satisfied with the facility, and it is important that the whole area is completely barrier-free and modern. I really want to build such facilities throughout Ukraine," he said.

The President thanked the organizations that supported the establishment of this Center.

Head of the Luhansk RSA Serhiy Haidai noted that the Luhansk region is implementing many pilot projects, as almost all local community leaders are willing to get involved and work quickly on something new.

According to him, the road infrastructure is also being actively developed in the region. In particular, in the framework of the President's program "Large Construction", 136 km of roads were repaired in the region in 2020, in 2021 - 225 km of roads, and next year there are plans to repair 288 km of roads.
