The construction of the bridge over the Prut River in the village of Marshyntsi, the Chernivtsi region, will have been completed by the end of the year. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives within a working trip to Bukovyna.

Answering journalists' questions, the President reminded that today two bridges over the Cheremosh River, which were destroyed by floods in 2008, were opened for traffic. And by the end of the year, another bridge will be built, which was also damaged by the natural disaster.

"There is another bridge that we have been told so much about, but it is being built. As we promised, in early December we will complete this bridge, the name of which will be given by locals. We call it Sofia, because Sofia Rotaru was born there," the Head of State said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the construction of infrastructure facilities in the Chernivtsi region is monitored with the help of video cameras.

"Today I saw the reconstructed bridges - it’s really Switzerland. When there is infrastructure, everything will emerge. There will be business, there will be jobs, there will be a ski resort," the President said.
