Ministry of Defense must create the Military Police and implement the defense forces management system compliant with NATO standards - President

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it necessary to create the Military Police and develop a concept of a unified register of veterans by the end of the year.

During a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada and the Government, Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined a number of tasks in the field of defense and security of Ukraine.

In particular, Minister of Defense Andriy Zahorodniuk must implement a new integrated system of command and control of the defense forces compliant with NATO standards by December 31. In addition, a modern effective law enforcement agency - the Military Police - must be established within the Ministry of Defense.

The President also considers it necessary for the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine to create a concept of a unified register of veterans by the end of the year and develop draft terms of reference for the E-Veteran platform.

In addition, the Head of State commissioned Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov to improve the procedures for issuing driver's licenses by the end of the year, as well as to simplify the procedures for accreditation of establishments carrying out the training and refresher training of drivers.
