President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his foreign visits are, in particular, dedicated to the creation of a coalition of partner countries within which our country will be provided with Western-type fighter jets. He said this during a conversation with media representatives following the negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin.
"We are now working to create a coalition of fighter jets, and partly my visits to European capitals are aimed at this. I think we will succeed," the President said, answering journalists' questions.
The Head of State noted that he would continue discussing this issue with Olaf Scholz and would appeal, in particular, to the German side to support Ukraine.
"Today, Russia has superiority in the Ukrainian sky. But our task is to be powerful in this space," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
For his part, Olaf Scholz noted that German support is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's ability to defend its territories in order to force Russia to retreat and leave Ukrainian soil.
