Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko is convinced that Ukraine and Poland have to do all necessary steps aimed at understanding.
"We are aware of our history and we have do all the necessary steps in order to find the opportunity to exist together. We have one common enemy and we need to live together in friendship and peace," he said during a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 16.
The Deputy Head of the Office of the President also emphasized that Ukrainians and Poles are neighbors and close peoples.
Vadym Prystaiko said about a number of meetings. In particular he met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland during a conference in Toronto, which took place within the framework of the visit of the President of Ukraine to Canada as well as the President of Poland during the first visit of the newly elected Head of the Ukrainian State to the institutions of the European Union and NATO, etc.
"I met with my colleague - Advisor to President Andrzej Duda, and we agreed that we will meet in the near future in order to help break the deadlock on all issues. Exhumation is just one of these issues, "Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine said.
Vadym Prystaiko also confirmed the visit of the President of Ukraine to Poland on September 1 for participation in commemorative events on the occasion of the beginning of the Second World War.
