On the Day of Sorrow and Remembrance of Victims of War in Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the current generation should remember the feat of those who defended our country and made efforts for the war not to become an ordinary thing for the next generations.
The Head of State reminded that in the early morning of June 22, 1941, the shelling of Kyiv took place.
“The Second World War broke into our home and has since spread across the entire territory of Ukraine. Affected every family, every human destiny. We must remember those dreadful years, the feat of those who defended our country. The war brings only blood, sorrow and suffering. We have to do everything for it not to become an ordinary thing in the life of the next generations," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
