President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a traditional conference call on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus involving representatives of the government and law enforcement agencies.
The Head of State raised the issue of a large number of infected people - 200 people - in the Lviv region over the past day. Chief medical officer of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko explained that such a large number of laboratory-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 was caused by the fact that a large queue of citizens waiting for tests was eliminated.
At the same time, in some regions of Ukraine, in particular in Zakarpattia, the situation regarding the provision of conditions for the safe conduct of standardized external testing is quite tense. The government of Ukraine together with the local authorities take all necessary measures for the safe standardized external testing. If the situation in some regions is not tolerable, the Cabinet of Ministers will work out a decision to adjust the conditions for child safety.
"Coronavirus adjusts our plans in all areas. We have to take care of children's safety, especially when they have a responsible period of standardized external testing," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The government officials reported that the incidence rate is 46.8 cases per 100,000 population, and the marker after which the decision on the epidemic situation should be made is 60 people per 100,000 population.
