As part of his participation in the 9th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative in Vilnius, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had his first meeting with the new President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Tamás Sulyok on his election and expressed hope for effective cooperation.
The Head of State thanked the President of Hungary for the unequivocal support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed his Hungarian counterpart about Ukraine's progress on the path to European integration and the preparation of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. He extended an invitation to Hungary to take part in it and also invited Hungary to join the G7 Vilnius Declaration of Support for Ukraine and start drafting a bilateral security agreement.
The leaders praised the dialogue between the governments of Ukraine and Hungary, in particular on the transit of goods across the common border.
