On the second anniversary of the start of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, and Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo, honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Denmark’s security commitments reflect a strategic choice and involve comprehensive support to Ukraine’s inherent right of self-defense against Russia’s full-scale war of aggression and deterrence of future Russian aggression.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mette Frederiksen laid flowers at the graves of Ukrainian warriors at the Field of Mars at the Lychakiv Cemetery.

The parties discussed the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is ready for consultations to resolve the situation in a prompt and fair manner.

According to him, in the current year, 2024, we need to do as much as possible to end this war in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the norms of the UN Charter. So there are very specific tasks for this year.
