The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Iceland reaffirm their support for the principles of international law, the inviolability of borders, and the right for each state to choose its own path and security arrangements.

On the Day of Ukrainian Volunteer, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with warriors who stood up for Ukraine as part of various combat units. The Head of State presented high state awards to the military and relatives of the fallen defenders.

The Head of State emphasized the fact of the visit of the Prime Minister of Iceland to our country and thanked for the active support of Ukraine by Reykjavik since the first days of full-scale Russian aggression.

The members of the Staff heard reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commanders of the operational and strategic groups of troops on the current situation at the front.

The Head of State noted that he was extremely pleased to see Ukrainian scientists and researchers doing an important job for their country so far away from Ukraine.

When congratulating the delegation, the President expressed his gratitude to the government, parliament, and the entire people of Norway for the comprehensive assistance provided to Ukraine and our citizens, and for effective support of our state's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ukraine has been invited to the NATO Summit to be held in Vilnius and expects NATO member states to endorse the provision of security guarantees to our country. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives following a meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marin in Kyiv.

During their meeting the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland recalled the European Union’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders extending to its territorial waters, as well as fully supporting Ukraine’s inherent right to self-defence and to choose its own security arrangements.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Finland for the defense support packages provided to our country, as well as for its effective participation in the tank coalition.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Sanna Marin laid flowers at the coffin of Dmytro Kotsiubailo and expressed condolences to his family.
