The leaders agreed that Ukraine and the United States should continue working together to achieve a lasting peace. Together with the United States, with President Trump, and under American leadership, it can be achieved this year.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Petteri Orpo discussed continued defense support for Ukraine, including the strengthening of air defenses, the supply of artillery systems and shells, and investment in Ukrainian arms production. The Head of State urged Finland to join the procurement of Ukrainian weapons based on the Danish model.

In Helsinki, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Kruty Heroes Lviv Lyceum for Advanced Military and Physical Training and spoke with students and teachers.

The Head of State laid flowers on the graves of defenders at the Field of Honor for Heroes at Lychakiv Cemetery, where, since April 2022, warriors who have fallen in battles against Russian occupiers have been laid to rest.

A separate topic of discussion was the U.S. proposal for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire. Ukraine immediately agreed to it, but for its implementation to begin, Russia must stop setting conditions. Additionally, the leaders paid special attention to the work of their teams on formulating clear security guarantees. Ukraine supports France’s position on this matter.

The Ukrainian President expressed his condolences to Javier Milei and the people of Argentina over the flooding that claimed 16 lives and left thousands of families homeless. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine stands ready to help Argentina in protecting lives and providing any necessary assistance.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska attended the opening of the Cuboid Museum of Mathematics and met with the winners of the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Mathematics Olympiad. This is the first mathematics museum in Ukraine and the fifth in the world.

The Head of State congratulated Mark Carney on assuming office and thanked him for supporting Ukraine, its sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also acknowledged Canada’s contributions to military assistance, energy support, and joint efforts with partners to bring about a just and lasting peace.
