During a working trip to the Donetsk region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards and valuable gifts to servicemen in the JFO area on the occasion of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.

On the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Center for Naval Operations in the JFO area. The President got himself acquainted with the activities of the Center and congratulated the servicemen on their holiday.

In a nationwide poll on October 25, 2020 initiated by the President, the first question will be related to the need to introduce life imprisonment for corruption of a particularly large scale. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his video address.

The Head of State will visit the servicemen on the frontline and present state awards.

On the Day of the Defender of Ukraine in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, lyceum students of Ivan Bohun Military Lyceum of Kyiv took a solemn oath. The ceremony took place on the square in front of the Mariyinsky Palace in Kyiv.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during a meeting with representatives of the Secret Intelligence Service in the framework of his recent visit to the UK, the issue of misinformation and fake news was discussed. The Head of State noted that the domestic media should verify the information they publish more carefully.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that Ukraine should not just become a member of the European Union, but be an equal participant in the unification of European states. He stated this in a joint interview with Polish President Andrzej Duda to Ukrainian and Polish journalists during a trip to Odesa.
