On July 19, 2021, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will pay a working visit to Georgia to launch the Associated Trio of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova at the level of heads of state. The leaders of the three countries will sign the Declaration of the Associated Trio Summit and hold a joint meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the devastating floods in Western Europe and hopes that the consequences of the disaster will be promptly eliminated.

Today, July 17, is the seventh anniversary of the tragedy of the Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane, which was shot down by a Buk anti-aircraft missile from the occupied territory of Donbas. Ukraine is closely monitoring the ongoing trial in the Netherlands and looks forward to Russia cooperating with investigators in the case to find out the truth and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Regarding Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the United States, the President's spokesman noted that all agreements are currently being finalized and the date and agenda will be announced shortly.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the presentation of the newly appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi to the staff of the Ministry. Earlier on Friday, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Denys Monastyrskyi as head of the Interior Ministry.

The adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the law, which provides for the reset of the High Council of Justice (Bill № 5068), will launch a real judicial reform in Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyyi had a phone conversation with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. The leaders exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership between Ukraine and China and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to its development and deepening.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Vice-President of the European Commission for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight Maroš Šefčovič.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated his Israeli counterpart on taking office and wished him success in his public duties. The President of Ukraine praised the dynamics of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and expressed confidence in their further development.

During a more than four-hour meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed security issues in Ukraine and Europe, including a peaceful settlement in Donbas and the risks of Nord Stream 2.
