The President thanked the Italian Prime Minister for his personal diplomatic efforts to resolve the security crisis around Ukraine peacefully. The parties discussed the current situation in the region, the development of the peace process and the intensification of all existing negotiation formats, including Normandy.

The President proposed to launch a concrete strategic dialogue in the energy sphere to elaborate energy guarantees and effective support for Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the main topics of his talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Kyiv were security challenges and the peace process, as the future of European security architecture, of which our state is a part, is being decided today in Ukraine.

After the meeting, Ukrainian-German talks chaired by Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olaf Scholz will take place.
