President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the first Diia Summit since the beginning of the full-scale Russian war and presented new services that have become available in the “Diia” app and on the unified portal of state services.

During the opening ceremony, the Head of State noted the significant contribution of the American entrepreneur and philanthropist to helping Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated: Howard Buffett's name will now be next to the names of those who have stood with Ukraine since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Opening the meeting, the President said that Ukraine has a decision to open negotiations on joining the European Union, and this is an institutional proof that Ukraine will become a member of the EU.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke with the mother of Lieutenant Pavlo Shcherbyna, who was the commander of a separate grenade launcher platoon, participated in the liberation of Kherson, and later fought in the Bakhmut sector. He perished on December 15, 2022.

After his official visit to Norway, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the command of the U.S. Army Europe and Africa in Wiesbaden, Germany.

On the eve of an important European Council meeting on December 14-15 in Brussels, the parties coordinated their positions and discussed Ukraine's progress in implementing the European Commission's recommendations necessary to open negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.

The Head of State thanked all Norwegian defense companies manufacturing weapons that help Ukrainians protect their lives and invited them to localize their production in Ukraine. He said that the Ukrainian servicemen, in particular, highly appreciate the Norwegian NASAMS air defense systems.

During an official visit to the Kingdom of Norway, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the Norwegian Storting Masud Gharahkhani and leaders of political parties represented in the Norwegian Parliament.

At the second Nordic – Ukrainian Summit in Oslo, the Prime Minister of Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden and the President of Finland and Ukraine issued the following statement.

The President expressed gratitude to the Norwegian people, government and parliament for the powerful humanitarian, financial and military assistance to our country, as well as for the introduction of a large-scale five-year support program for Ukraine in February 2023.
