The President emphasized the importance of the regional leadership working directly on the ground and having a good understanding of the region's specifics. At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State introduced the newly appointed Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy was briefed on the operational situation by the commander of the Zaporizhzhia operational grouping of troops Volodymyr Horbatiuk.

The President talked to young patients and their parents. Among them, there are families from the frontline areas.

Addressing those present at the meeting at the Mariyinsky Palace, the Head of the State noted that today's event is a continuation of the tradition of particular respect for Ukrainian Heroes.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded high state honors to the servicemen of Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine who demonstrated exceptional bravery in performing special combat missions, particularly in destroying the Russian missile boat "Ivanovets."

The Head of the State congratulated Malta on assuming the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and emphasized the priority of issues related to the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the return of Ukrainian children deported to Russia to their homeland.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the preparation of a bilateral document with Canada on security commitments for Ukraine in order to conclude it in the near future.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of NATO in 2009-2014 and Founding Chairman of Rasmussen Global, who is on a visit to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also honored the memory of Mark Paslavskyi, who died in August 2014 in Donbas, Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Oleksandr Klitynskyi, and participants in the Russian-Ukrainian war Andrii Pilshchykov ("Juice") and Dmytro Kotsiubailo ("Da Vinci"), who are buried at the Askold's Grave.
