"The key thing today is the security of the Khmelnytskyi region and its people. Of course, assistance to our military, the wounded, especially rehabilitation, is also important," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

"Thank you for everything you do for our country. It's a pleasure to be here and award you. Thank you for defending Ukraine. Get well and come back home. I wish you and all of us victory," the Head of State said.

The First Peace Summit for Ukraine will be held on June 15-16, following the January agreement between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd. The parties have chosen Bürgenstock, located near the Swiss city of Lucerne, as the venue.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of bolstering Ukraine's air defense. The Head of State noted that thanks to the assistance of our partners, our servicemen have mastered modern Western air defense systems and no other country in the Alliance has such a large number of different types.

This is the first visit of a member of the British Royal Family to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

The preparations for the NATO Summit, which will take place in Washington in July, were also discussed at the meeting.

They visited a lesson where the students were discussing the accident at the Chornobyl NPP and its consequences, and an extended day program class.

The Head of State tasked Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, to address the issue of direct train connection between Slavutych and Kyiv, without a stopover in Chernihiv.

The President expressed his respect to all the people in Slavutych for saving us all then and helping Ukraine in the spring of 2022, during the full-scale Russian invasion.
