Crimea Platform Truly Strengthens Ukraine in Every Sense – the President

More than 60 participants joined the Fourth Summit of the International Crimea Platform. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the press conference with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković and Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa.

The Head of State noted that thanks to the Crimea Platform, it was possible to regain and strengthen the world's attention to the Russian occupation of Ukrainian Crimea.

“Now, thanks to the Crimea Platform, thanks to all our diplomatic efforts, thanks to the resistance of our people, our warriors, we are clearly forcing Russia to face reality, specifically, international law, the power of global solidarity, as well as the need to restore full justice for Ukraine and, ultimately, a lasting peace for our entire land and all our people,” the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked all the partners who are effectively helping to counter Russian aggression and bring real peace closer.

“The Crimea Platform truly strengthens Ukraine in every sense, especially on the diplomatic level. Russia must see and it definitely sees that the world does not stop moving towards the restoration of justice,” the Head of State said.

Gitanas Nausėda stressed that Lithuania will never recognize the occupation of Ukrainian territories and will always demand that Russia withdraw its troops.

“We also support the establishment of a special international tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the crime of aggression,” the President of Lithuania stated.

Andrej Plenković assured Ukraine of further support, including assistance in the energy sector, demining, treatment of military personnel, and recreation for Ukrainian children.

“And, of course, something that not many other countries can offer you, which is the experience of our state prosecutors, our judges, our specialized police units in investigating war crimes,” he said.

The Prime Minister of Latvia noted that all foreign leaders came to personally participate in the Fourth Summit of the International Crimea Platform to reaffirm: Crimea is Ukraine, and Russia will lose this war.

Evika Siliņa also announced the third military aid package since the beginning of the year. It will include armored vehicles and drones.

“We are deeply convinced that Ukraine's future lies in a just peace, security and prosperity among other allies and partners in the Euro-Atlantic community,” she concluded.
