Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with Political Director of Global Affairs Canada David Angell.
Ihor Zhovkva congratulated Canada on assuming the Presidency of the G7. Ukraine is counting on the country's active role in consolidating international support for a just and lasting peace.
“It is important to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor state and enforce restrictive measures, especially against the Russian shadow fleet. Coordination at the G7 level in countering Russian propaganda and using frozen Russian assets for the needs of Ukraine are also crucial,” the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office noted.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the further implementation of the bilateral security agreement.
Ihor Zhovkva also thanked Canada for its comprehensive support, particularly in strengthening Ukraine's security and defense capabilities. He also highlighted the country's decision to join the Drone Coalition and allocate funds for the production of Ukrainian UAVs.
