Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan.
As part of the ongoing dialogue with allies, Andriy Yermak informed the American side about the situation at the front and the measures taken by the defense forces to liberate Ukrainian lands from the Russian invaders.
Andriy Yermak also spoke about the recent shelling by the terrorist state of the historic center of Odesa and the port infrastructure of Ukraine. He emphasized the need to continue to bolster the air defense system in order to protect people's lives and prevent the destruction of the export potential of our country, on which food security in the world depends.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing to find ways to help Ukraine export grain to the world market, particularly the Global South.
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States also continued consultations on long-term security commitments for Ukraine and discussed a process in which bilateral agreements with partner nations can be concluded in keeping with the framework of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine adopted following the NATO Summit in Vilnius.
The interlocutors also discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the possibilities for a future Global Peace Summit.
The Head of the Office of the President also thanked the US for the package of defense assistance announced yesterday, which includes artillery, missiles and ammunition, drones, and other significant capabilities critical to assisting Ukraine in its counteroffensive.
Andriy Yermak and Jake Sullivan also briefly discussed the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 aircraft, which is expected to begin in the near future, and the implementation of reforms in the anti-corruption, and rule of law sectors.
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine thanked US President Joseph Biden, his entire team, both houses of Congress and the entire American people for the help and support for our state in the struggle for freedom, independence and common democratic values.
