Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak talked with National Security Advisor (NSA) to the Prime Minister of India Ajit Doval by phone.

The parties discussed key issues of Ukrainian-Indian cooperation, as well as ways of its development in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Yermak congratulated the Republic of India on the start of its presidency of the G20 – a group of countries with the most powerful economies in the world – and expressed hope for strengthening India's leadership in supporting Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as the importance of the further effective and unimpaired operation of the grain corridor, through which a vessel with 37,500 tonnes of oil for India left the port of Odesa the other day. "Ukraine will welcome the accession of the Republic of India to our Grain from Ukraine initiative," the head of the Office of the President said.

Yermak expressed hope for India's support for implementing the Ukrainian peace formula presented by the President of Ukraine to the G20 leaders at the summit in November. The formula defines ten specific steps to end the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine.

"We count on the support of the peace formula by the international community and our partners, in particular India," he said.

Noting the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine by the government and the private sector of India, Yermak said that our country is counting on its expansion. In particular, it was about the provision of energy equipment by the Indian side, which is badly needed for the restoration of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine damaged due to continuing Russian missile attacks.

The head of the President's Office separately emphasized the importance of strengthening the consolidated sanctions pressure on the aggressor from the international community, which must deprive Russia of the opportunity to finance the war against our state.

Yermak renewed the invitation to the National Security Adviser of the Prime Minister of India to visit Ukraine.
