Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a meeting with National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan who is on a visit to our country.

Andriy Yermak and Jake Sullivan held a meeting in a tete-a-tete format where they discussed all the current issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States and the continuation of support for our country in the fight for its freedom and independence against the Russian invaders.

Andriy Yermak welcomed Jake Sullivan to Ukraine and noted that his arrival is a very important signal of support for our country from the United States of America. In particular, this is a powerful signal at a time when Ukraine is constantly attacked by missiles and Iranian-made drones from Russia.

"I know that you personally, President Biden and your team are deeply aware of everything that is happening. Once again, we want to thank the American people, President Biden and his Administration, Congress and both parties for their great help and support. Without it, it would be impossible for us not only to defend our country for eight months, but also to move forward and liberate our territories," Andriy Yermak said.

A meeting was also held in an expanded format, in which the Deputy Heads of the Office of the President Roman Mashovets, Andriy Sybiha, Rostyslav Shurma and Ihor Zhovkva, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko, and Head of the State Property Fund Rustem Umerov took part.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny and representatives of the supreme military command of Ukraine joined the conversation via video call.

The Advisor to the U.S. President was briefed on the operational situation at the front and the key needs of the Ukrainian army, in particular regarding airspace protection.

Jake Sullivan was also informed on the consequences of Russian missile strikes at critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

The results and prospects of the "grain initiative" were also touched upon during the meeting. In particular, the American side was informed about the working group created at the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to prepare proposals for providing aid to countries suffering from an acute food crisis.
