Ukraine has returned 20 of its citizens who were held captive in the temporarily occupied territories. Negotiations on the release of Ukrainians held in the occupied Crimea and Russia are ongoing. This was stated by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.

“Another stage of mutual release of detained persons has taken place - we have returned 20 of our citizens held captive in the temporarily occupied territories. I would like to emphasize: the mutual release of detained persons took place in the framework of the “all for all” format. We bring back all the citizens of Ukraine. Without exception. Powerful countries that value their citizens, do so,” Andriy Yermak said.

The Head of the President's Office noted that a year ago there were no activities on the issue of mutual release of detained persons, and today Ukraine has managed to build an effective negotiating position.

“President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly emphasized that we will fight for the life of every citizen of Ukraine. The “all for all” release program works efficiently and around the clock. Coordination commissions are constantly working, all applications of relatives are checked. Adjustments are made immediately. All this is for the sake of Ukrainians, whom we must release from the hell of captivity,” the Head of the President's Office stressed.

Andriy Yermak thanked everyone who works for the liberation of Ukrainians.
