The story published in some mass media about the alleged holding of a meeting in the Office of the President of Ukraine where the parties discussed the disruption of a special operation aimed to detain militants from Wagner's private military company is a fabrication from A to Z, as stated by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak during Savik Shuster's Freedom of Speech TV program on Friday.
"This is a detective story that was made up from A to Z. Several facts from reality were taken, artistic inventions were added - and a large-scale story was created, which is really impressive,” Andriy Yermak said.
He reminded that the representatives of the relevant bodies, in particular the Security Service and the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, have already given a clear answer to what was happening around the so-called operation to detain Wagner's militants.
At the same time, the Head of the President's Office stressed that during the hostilities in Donbas, Ukrainian intelligence and relevant services documented all persons involved in the war against Ukraine.
"This is still continued. And the facts of this documentation were "leaked" in the media. Unfortunately, this dealt a very serious damage to our bodies. After this incident, it will be much harder for them to do this job," Andriy Yermak said.
According to him, many people work in the special services risking their lives every day defending Ukraine.
"Therefore, it is an unfortunate case when politicians, media representatives in pursuit of "likes" on Facebook or political dividends use propaganda against Ukraine and, unfortunately, take part in it," the Head of the President's Office emphasized.
