Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with Governmental Envoy of the Czech Republic for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Tomáš Kopečný.
Zhovkva noted the high level of support for Ukraine from the Czech Republic in matters of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as the important role of the Czech Republic in strengthening the defense capabilities of our country.
The deputy head of the President's Office said that Ukraine expects to receive a decision on the start of negotiations on joining the EU this year. He also noted the importance of achieving the practical results of the Vilnius NATO Summit in the context of advancing the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of our country.
The main topic of the meeting was the involvement of Czech partners in the reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular in the field of energy, medicine, and transport infrastructure.
"It is good that we are enjoying strong support from the Czech Republic in the matter of recovery and economic reconstruction," Zhovkva said.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of implementing specific projects in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region, over which the Czech Republic has assumed patronage.
The Czech side also expressed its readiness to promote the involvement of other partners in the reconstruction and implementation of new projects on the territory of our country.
