Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda.
Ihor Zhovkva thanked Japan for supporting our country in the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, in particular in the context of Japan's Presidency of the G7.
"Japan's leadership in supporting Ukraine is an example for many of our partners, including those from the Global South," the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office noted.
The interlocutors discussed preparations for the next meeting at the level of national security advisors on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, as well as the organization of the Global Peace Summit.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office also thanked Japan for its important role in the adoption of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine by the G7 countries on July 12, which became the basis for the creation of a system of effective security guarantees for our country on the path to NATO membership.
"Only two weeks after the adoption of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, 12 new countries have officially joined it, and their number will continue to grow," emphasized Ihor Zhovkva.
The interlocutors noted the constructive dialogue between the two countries and agreed to continue to coordinate joint actions.
