Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva met with Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce John Denton, who is on a visit to Ukraine.
Ihor Zhovkva emphasized the important role of the International Chamber of Commerce as the world's largest business association in supporting Ukraine's private sector, in particular SMEs. He thanked John Denton for his personal efforts in helping Ukraine from the very beginning of Russian aggression, including expelling the Russian Chamber of Commerce and promoting the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
"It is important that Ukraine feels the constant support of such powerful business allies," emphasized the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.
Ihor Zhovkva emphasized that Ukraine expects to attract significant foreign investment in innovative projects, as our country's advancement in the EU and NATO will guarantee investors predictability and security, and post-war reconstruction will be highly profitable. He also emphasized the importance of launching specific projects in our country, especially the Fast Recovery Plan.
The main topic of the meeting was the involvement of the International Chamber of Commerce in supporting Ukrainian business, in particular its export, logistics and investment opportunities. The parties discussed the possibility of implementing certain initiatives with the assistance of the International Chamber of Commerce, including in Latin America and Africa.
"It is necessary to promote Ukraine's interests in the countries of the Global South with the support of business as well," the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office noted.
Ihor Zhovkva also told John Denton about the process of implementing the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the global "peace summit", which is planned to involve as many countries from all regions of the world as possible.
