Ihor Zhovkva and the Adviser to the President of Romania discussed bilateral cooperation between the countries and European integration aspirations of Ukraine

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva had a phone conversation with Adviser to the President of Romania on European Affairs Leonard Orban.

Ihor Zhovkva informed the interlocutor about the preparations for the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform and its content. For his part, Leonard Orban reaffirmed Romania's continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and stressed that the Romanian side would be represented at this important event at a high level.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of effective efforts by our state to achieve the strategic goal of joining the European Union. There was an exchange of views on the importance of fixing Ukraine's European perspective and further support of this idea by Romania.

Ihor Zhovkva and Leonard Orban discussed the elaboration of a number of bilateral projects, including in the field of infrastructure and cross-border cooperation, aimed at strengthening ties between Ukraine and Romania.

The interlocutors praised mutual steps aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of common interest. They also agreed on the importance of continuing to maintain the high dynamics of bilateral contacts in order to make progress in resolving certain sensitive issues on the Ukrainian-Romanian agenda.
