Ihor Zhovkva discussed development of political dialogue with the diplomatic adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva had a phone conversation with diplomatic adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary János Balla.

The interlocutors praised the results of recent bilateral contacts, including the recent meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary and the second meeting of the working interagency group on education in May.

Ihor Zhovkva noted the willingness of the Ukrainian party to further seek a mutually acceptable solution to sensitive issues regarding education and national minorities within the current Ukrainian legislation.

The parties discussed further steps in cooperation by the end of this year, as well as steps to prepare bilateral documents that can be signed by the parties during the visits.

Special attention was paid to the topical issues of Ukraine's European integration and cooperation between the countries aimed to support the ambitious agenda of our country's relations with the EU.

Ihor Zhovkva thanked János Balla for Hungary's position on restoring Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The intention of Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó to visit Ukraine, in particular Donbas, during Hungary's presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe was also positively noted.

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President informed the interlocutor about the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the goals of the Crimean Platform initiative. János Balla assured that the Hungarian party would take part in the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform at a high political level.

The parties also exchanged views on the epidemic situation and the course of vaccination in Ukraine and Hungary.
