Ihor Zhovkva discussed preparations for the International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine with the Head of the Agency of Diplomatic Advisers to the President of Switzerland

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva had a phone conversation with Head of the Agency of Diplomatic Advisers to the President of Switzerland Térence Billeter.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and the implementation of agreements reached as a result of the official visit of President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga to Ukraine in July 2020.

Ihor Zhovkva praised the implementation of the Swiss Cooperation Program for 2020-2023, thanked for the technical and humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine, and outlined promising areas for cooperation between the two countries.

The parties agreed to continue work on preparations for the International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine to be held in Switzerland in 2022.

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President also spoke about the security situation in Donbas and stressed the importance of Ukraine's cooperation with international partners to restore peace in the region.

Térence Billeter assured of the unwavering position of the Swiss Confederation in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The interlocutors also discussed cooperation in counteracting the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of Ukraine's transport infrastructure, and the implementation of joint projects, in particular in the field of rail transportation.
