During a working trip to the Khmelnytskyi region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the state of implementation of the Great Construction program in the region.
The Head of State reminded that the program envisages the construction of five schools, kindergartens and sports complexes in each region. At the same time, the President expressed a wish: to put into operation all educational institutions by September 1.
"Not every one of them may be ready because of the coronavirus. But most of them should be," the President stressed.
"Our strategy is very simple: to build the maximum number of such important infrastructure facilities in these five years given to us by the people of Ukraine and God," he added.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the state of construction of a kindergarten in the village of Davydkivtsi of the Khmelnytskyi district. The President was informed that the total cost of the project is over UAH 27 million. Currently, the building is 65% ready, and the facility will be commissioned by September 1.
At the same time, the Head of State said that during a meeting with the rectors of leading universities on June 2, he was told about one of the major problems of higher education - the lack of student dormitories with high-quality conditions.
"We will now talk to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Regional Development to add the construction of dormitories in Ukraine to the Great Construction," the President noted.
