President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who is in Ukraine on a three-day visit.
The President expressed gratitude for Georgia's consistent and clear position in support of Ukraine's territorial integrity, and assured of the continued unwavering support for the fraternal Georgian people in defending Georgia's sovereignty.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the strong support of the friendly country for the Crimea Platform initiative and thanked Irakli Garibashvili for his personal participation in the inaugural summit of this new format for the deoccupation of the peninsula.
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Georgia noted the high dynamics of the Ukrainian-Georgian dialogue on deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries. The parties agreed to hold the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the security situation and noted the importance of strengthening cooperation in combating security challenges in the Black Sea region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Irakli Garibashvili also discussed deepening cooperation within the Associated Trio format in the context of Ukraine’s and Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
