President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Minister of Defence of Sweden Pål Jonson, who is on a visit to Ukraine.
The Head of State emphasized that the visit is an important sign of Sweden's solidarity with Ukraine.
"I thank your country, your citizens, and the entire Swedish society for the great support of our country throughout this full-scale war. For support both on the battlefield and for very important financial and humanitarian assistance," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine reminded that in early May he had a productive meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson in Helsinki in the framework of his official visit to Finland to participate in the Nordic-Ukrainian Summit.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted Sweden's decision to join the international tank coalition in support of Ukraine and transfer 10 Leopard-2 tanks.
Separately, the President thanked Sweden for its leadership in the formation of the CV-90 Infantry Fighting Vehicle Coalition, the creation and active work of which will significantly bolster the defense capabilities of Ukraine's defenders on the battlefield.
The parties also discussed the possibility of Sweden's participation in the aviation coalition and the launch of a separate training program for Ukrainian pilots on modern Western-type aircraft.
