President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the official opening ceremony of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Great Britain.
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. The opening ceremony was also addressed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as public figures and activists working on climate change.
The COP26 summit will be held on November 1-2. The climate conference will be attended by US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In total, about 120 world leaders are expected to participate in its sessions.
